I designed the teen curriculum to combine some of our most popular fashion activities like styling and marketing with an emphasis on starting your own clothing line. When I was in high school all I wanted to do was run a fashion business but I didn’t know anyone who could help. During my senior year of high school and throughout college I started and ran my own line, Kerri Renae – I learned a whole lot and met people in the industry. The line eventually sold internationally and I even had a deal with Bloomingdales! I think it’s important for our teen campers to meet real fashion designers, real stylists and make their own connections (with a little help from us). They’ll see different sides of fashion; the design side, the marketing and business side and really get hands on experience to help them decide which career path they may want to take later on.
