Join The Fashion Class this summer, NYC’s only fashion design and sewing camp for teens that teaches both sewing and the business side of fashion. No sewing experience required.
Created by The Fashion Class’ owner Kerri Quigley, our teen fashion camp curriculum highlights various aspects of the fashion industry from magazine publishing to entrepreneurship and how to start your own clothing line.
I designed the teen curriculum to combine some of our most popular fashion activities like styling and marketing with an emphasis on starting your own clothing line. When I was in high school all I wanted to do was run a fashion business but I didn’t know anyone who could help. During my senior year of high school and throughout college I started and ran my own line, Kerri Renae – I learned a whole lot and met people in the industry. The line eventually sold internationally and I even had a deal with Bloomingdales! I think it’s important for our teen campers to meet real fashion designers, real stylists and make their own connections (with a little help from us). They’ll see different sides of fashion; the design side, the marketing and business side and really get hands on experience to help them decide which career path they may want to take later on. – Kerri Q., Founder
The Fashion Class is a sewing and design studio (Now in our twelfth year!) that teaches teens sewing, draping, marketing and merchandising all throughout the school year and summer. We have our own retail store and sewing studio featuring a sewing room and art studio (plus a super cute backyard for lunch). Our camp instructors are graduates of fashion and art programs at some of the best fashion schools in the world, like Parsons The New School for Design and FIT. Our instructors also work in the industry as designers, stylists and fashion illustrators.
Our fashion camp is for serious fashionistas who want to make their designs and dreams a reality!
